Peace circle participants in Oxford
Peace circle participants in Oxford
Is it possible to work through the Creators of Peace Circle process in a weekend? Last weekend, seven women got together in Norham Road, Oxford, and tried just that. We started on Saturday morning with activities helping us to identify where we would like to see more ‘peace’, either in ourselves, our homes, communities or countries and the afternoon looking at the factors which build or destroy peace on those levels. On Sunday morning we experimented with ways of making peacemakers of ourselves, spending time on how to achieve inner peace and find ‘direction, correction and connection.’ Sunday afternoon we evaluated our experience and committed ourselves to our next steps. So the answer is yes, it is a significant journey in a short time, but we can get a long way over a weekend towards our goal of becoming Creators of Peace.

We will plan more weekend events in 2010 over a long weekend, for those from the UK who do not have access to a Creators of Peace Circle in their area of the country, and for those who wish, further events to learn to facilitate the Circle. Dates are not yet set. There will be a minimum cost. If you are interested please contact Su Riddell.
