BBC World Service radio broadcast 'The Pity of War'

Horacio and Maria Benitez at Pangbourne
Kati Whittacker of the BBC interviewed the Argentine war veteran Horacio Benitez (right with his wife Mané), the Argentine Falklands/Malvinas War veteran, the British army chaplain Rev David Cooper, and Mike Smith, on the BBC World Service in their Heart and Soul series, broadcast on 31 March and 2 April. Most of the interview was held at the London centre for Initiatives of Change.

Kati Whittacker also took Benitez, his wife Mané and Mike Smith to the Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel at Pangbourne College in Berkshire where she also interviewed the college chaplain there. Benitez is believed to be one of only two Argentine war veterans to have visited the memorial chapel, built in honour of all the British combatants who lost their lives in the 1982 war.
