The successful candidate would assist in building successful relationships with the network members as well as providing assistance with the overall administration and organisation of national network events.

The unprecedented levels of migration across the Mediterranean since 2015 with the catastrophic death toll was one of key talking points at the Refugee Crisis forum in London. Stories from the Frontline held at Initiatives of Change headquarters on 31 October brought together senior political leaders, activists, volunteers and many other concerned parties who listened to the stories of how ordinary people have taken action to do the most extraordinary acts of bravery, courage and kindness in tackling this global crisis.

The Hope in the Heart team

Hope in the Heart CIC is the latest initiative to join the Initiatives of Change UK Sustainable Communities programme. Founded in Penzance in February 2013 by Tam Martin Fowles, Hope in the Heart aims to inspire people to overcome adversity, live with compassion, and understand their place in the global community.

Listening to each other

As part of Women’s History Month, a dynamic, experiential, leadership training programme took place at Initiatives of Change UK, from 25 March to 6 May, where sessions were held over six consecutive Tuesdays. Mainly based in London, 20 women from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities participated, representing a rich ethnic mix of Somali, Eritrean, Pakistani, Afghani, Bengali, African Caribbean, Egyptian, Filipino and Ethiopian women.
