Five evening discussions with people who have found a starting point for bringing positive change

7.30pm Wednesday 29 November: What Britain did in Palestine, and why it matters.
One hundred years on from the Balfour Declaration of November 1917, when the British Government promised to support the creation of ‘a homeland for the Jewish people in Palestine’, it is timely to examine this crucial historical event, and the 30 years of British rule which followed. Dr Mary Embleton, a historian of the British Mandate period, will speak on this subject after showing the short documentary film, Britain in Palestine, 1917-1948.
